Dr Burne is an accomplished sports medicine professional who has worn many hats over the past two decades. He worked for 12 years with the Australian Defence Force, and in 2002 he became a Fellow of the Australian College of Sports Physicians, winning the college medal for Best performance in the Fellowship Exam. He is currently a Visiting Fellow of the UNSW Sports Medicine Programs, an internationally renowned post-graduate course for doctors

Dr Burne manages all acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, as well as all medical problems that arise from (or are complicated by) exercise. Workplace injuries and illnesses form a regular aspect to his work. Consultations include a complete history and examination, followed by an evidence-based management plan. When referring, Dr Burne recommends the services of highly-regarded colleagues in medical and paramedical fields.

Dr Burne is an avid cyclist and makes his way around the city on 2 wheels.
